Notes:
Blind portrait self reflection:
The idea of not knowing who I'm drawing inspired me to create this drawing because it helped me shape up different ideas and put them together into one. I first used chalk to give the stars a glow, then I outlined it with a marker which I wish I hadn't. For the main part of the drawing I used prisma colors to fill in the owl and the person and give a shade to each one of them. I want the audience not to only look at the main part of the drawing but to also to focus on the background and how it shifts from side to side creating the idea of freedom. My first difficult encounter was that the drawing looked plain and basic. It felt like I didn't but any much of an idea. I worked through that by adding different backgrounds. I wish I used different art materials. I did some research on different types of owls, and some references on the human shape but that's about all. The most successful part of my work would be the shading but everything else could use more improvement.
